How to make a shipping label

  1. 01Enter both addressesYour return address and where the package is going. Add an order number if you want a barcode.
  2. 02Pick a style and paper4x6 for thermal printers, Letter or A4 for a home printer. On Letter or A4 the label fills the top half of the page.
  3. 03Download or printYou get a PDF straight away. In the print window, set the scale to 100%, then tape the label on or use a self-adhesive label sheet.

Questions

Is this label enough to mail a package?

It addresses the package. You still need postage. You can pay at the post office counter, or buy a carrier label online and print it instead.

Can I print it without a label printer?

Yes. Choose Letter or A4 and print on plain paper, then tape it to the box. The label goes on the top half of the page, so it also fits half-sheet label paper.

What size do I print it at?

These settings are in your computer's print window, not on LabelYeti. After you select Print, or open the PDF and print it, look for Scale and set it to 100% or Actual size. Turn off Fit to page or Shrink to fit, or the label and barcode come out smaller than they should. See where to find the setting.

Do you keep my addresses?

No. The PDF is made in your browser and nothing is sent to our servers. Your return address is remembered in this browser only, so it's filled in next time.

I need to make hundreds of labels. Can I upload a spreadsheet?

Not yet. Making labels from a CSV or Excel file is on the way.
