About Avery 5160 labels

Avery 5160 is the standard address label: 30 labels on a Letter sheet, 3 across and 10 down, each 1 x 2-5/8 in. Avery 8160 is the same layout made for inkjet printers, so this template fits both.

Three or four short lines fit on each label. Longer addresses shrink a little to fit, and the preview warns you if one is still too long.

Questions

Is Avery 5160 the same as 8160?

The layout is the same: 30 labels at 1 x 2-5/8 in. 5160 is made for laser printers and 8160 for inkjet printers, so pick the one that matches your printer and use this template for either.

Can I use other brands of 30-up labels?

Usually, yes. Most store-brand address labels sold as 30 per sheet use the same 1 x 2-5/8 in layout. Print the test page first and hold it against a sheet to check.

My labels print a little off. What do I change?

In your computer's print window, set Scale to 100% or Actual size, not Fit to page. Then print the test page on plain paper and hold it against a label sheet to check the lines match.

Can I use a sheet I've already used part of?

Yes. Set Start at label number to the first empty label. Labels are numbered across each row, then down the sheet.

Can I paste addresses from a spreadsheet?

Yes. Copy the rows in Excel or Google Sheets and paste them in. Each row becomes one label, and each cell becomes a line.

Do you keep my address list?

No. The PDF is made in your browser and your list is never uploaded or saved.
